Happy New Years Eve!

I am spending the day with Nana, Papa and Mimi today while Mom and Dad are at work. Nana gave me a shampoo and a bath in the sink. So much fun! I love splashing!

Big Head

Great Grandma made me this hat. Unfortunately it doesn't fit very well. I felt kind of stupid wearing it but Nana and Mumma thought it was so funny that I humored them for a photo. I'm such a good sport....

Christmas 2007

Christmas is my new favorite holiday! There are people to watch, new clothes to wear, presents to open and food to eat!

My great uncle Jeff and his girlfriend Jamie sent me some great presents. I really love my new books!

On Christmas day I wore my new Pooh Christmas outfit that aunt Lisa gave me. It was so warm and cozy. I think this bow really adds to the ensemble...

I thought the tree was so beautiful! The ornaments were so shiny -- I could stare at them for hours....

Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas Eve Day

Everyone has a cold. Including me! Daddy is sick, Mimi is sick, and now Mama is sick! Dad is taking me to the doctor today. I have a snotty nose and a horrible cough. No fun!

Winter Wonderland!

Can you believe all the snow we've gotten so far this year?! Mom has been looking out for a new snowsuit for me. This pink one fits pretty good...for now. I just keep growing and growing...

My First Ornament

Every year Nana buys Mom, Dad and Mimi an ornament for the Christmas Tree. Nana bought Daddy an ornament with a deer and a gun on it. Mommy got a Mom and Baby ornament and Mimi got a teachers ornament. I got an ornament, too! It was really fun opening the present. The wrapping paper was pretty and tasty!

This is my ornament! Nana and Papa got it in Bar Harbor. Isn't it sweet? Daddy is going to cut down a tree this weekend so we can hang our new ornaments on it. I can't wait!

This is a photo of me in my new high chair at Nana and Papa's house. I like it because I can get really close to the table so I can be in on all the action. My two bottom teeth are just waiting for some top teeth to come in so I can start eating with the grownups. I like to try all sorts of things. Papa gave me a little bite of mashed potato last night. I'm not sure how I feel about it...

Glasses

Do they make me look smarter? Cause that's what I'm going for...
ayda.

Obsessed with Daddy...

Lately I have been crying for daddy's attention every time he walks by. I must sound pretty pathetic because he comes right over to pick me up and hold me. I love to put my arm around him and stroke his head. It feels nice! Mom says that I'm getting to the age of seperation anxiety -- I wonder if that's my problem...

New Toy

This is my new jumpy toy! I love it! I can spin around, chew on stuff, and bounce safely to my hearts content. Thanks Mom & Dad!

Thanksgiving Photos

Check out me and Grandma D! This is one of the new outfits Nana made me.

Aunt Lisa is helping me to open an early Christmas gift! I didn't want to tell her that I could do it myself since I just met her and all...

We took my bath sponge all the way to NY with us! Hooray!

This is my cousin Nate. I love him!

Absent Ayda

We sure are missing baby Ayda here at the old homestead. Jennie called last night -- Ayda has another new tooth! See what happens when they go away! The Sonnenberg Trio is having lots of fun in NY with the family and I'm sure the family is having tons of fun with Ayda.

This picture is of serious Ayda -- concentrating hard on chewing her toys. She has some new shoes which are adorable and very comfy looking. Nana has been on a sewing kick and has been making lots of baby outfits lately. Ayda is going to be the most stylish baby at daycare!

I have been holding down the fort at home. Marley hasn't been too mopey and is actually eating his meals. Good dog!

New York Bound!

Over the river and through the woods, and across Massachusetts and on I-90 past Syracuse to Grammy and Grampy's house we go!
We're heading out tonight to see the Sonnenbergs! It's going to be a 12-hour drive AT LEAST! Daddy rented a car! I hope it's comfy....

Witter Farm

On Friday we went up to UMaine's Witter Farm with Aunt Mimi to see the horses, cows and sheep.

This horse's name is Smokey. He belongs to Mimi's friend Kori. She gave us a tour!

They had a lot of baby cows at the farm. They were very licky!

Miss Independent!

Look at what a big girl I am!

My friend Noah Lundy gave me these handy little handles! I've been trying to tell Mumma that "I CAN DO IT MYSELF!" She put these handles on my bottle today because I have been so grabby and bossy -- wanting to feed myself. I'm 6-months-old going on 6 years!

Photo Shoot 2

My friend Lily Mae Chandler

This is my friend Lily. The last time I saw her I was just a newborn. Lily is 16 months old and lives in Veazie with her mom and dad who went to high school with my mom and Aunt Mimi! Small world!

Lily came over to Nana and Papa's house with her mom, her Aunt Jenn and her grandparents -- Mimi and Bampy. We ate Pat's Pizza and played games. Lily really liked me I think. She handed me my toys when I dropped them and gave me lots of good kisses.

Nana noticed at dinner that I am cutting my first tooth. That's why I have been so cranky lately -- nice that someone finally noticed! It's right in the front on the bottom. Mumma tried to look at it this morning but I wouldn't let her. It hurts and I don't want people poking around in my mouth!

6 months old!

That's right! I am officially 6 months old. So far so good. I didn't do anything big for the big day. No rolling over. No sitting up. No first words or teeth growing. Mum's been a little worried but honestly, I am just content being content. When I have a reason to roll over, I will. Nana said that my mom was really slow to do these things too. Like mother like daughter!

I am learning my name. When someone says it I check them out. I figure they want something but they usually don't -- they just smile at me and make funny noises. It's all good. I make screamy baby noises right back at them!

I am trying to learn to sit up. Mumma says that I can't go back for another photo shoot until I can support myself in a sitting position. Whatever! We've been practicing but it's tough! I'd rather be held...

Daddy is a Hunter Warrior!

Daddy killed a deer on his first try! In our backyard! It was about 100 pounds.

Marley and Roxy didn't know what to do about the dead deer. They freaked right out!

Daddy and Papa brought the deer to the butcher last night before dinner. They said he was all meaty and gross but that he does a good job. I'm glad I don't have teeth yet -- I don't know if I would like deer meat...

Look how proud Daddy is holding me and his kill. Hooray for Daddy!

Mimi's Birthday

Last night we all went to Texas Roadhouse for Mimi's birthday! I love that place because there is always lots of stuff to look at. I like watching the waitresses dance and clap. I was a very good baby -- I didn't fuss when everyone got their food.
We went home and I got a bath. I just love splashing around. Nana made me some new pajamas that are soft and warm. Mom tried to put me down to sleep but I wasn't ready to go! I was too happy and excited to see everyone! So I got to go downstairs and sit in my seat while Mimi opened her presents. Mimi didn't tuck me in until 8:20 pm! Way past my bedtime!
Tammy, my day-care lady, told Mommy that she was lucky to have such a good baby. I love day-care because everyone pays attention to me allllll day! I have lots of friends to play with.
I'm looking forward to going to New York for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see my other grandparents and meet the rest of my family!

Trick or Treat!

This is my Halloween costume! It is so nice and warm and cozy! I especially like the orange flippers. Mum wasn't going to get me a costume but when she saw this at Target she couldn't resist!

Out on the Town

We all went to a new sandwich shop in town called Harvest Moon. It was great!

Papa was telling me all sorts of secrets at dinner. I was listening very carefully...

Check out my cute shoes! Mimi bought them for me last christmas -- I wasn't even born yet! They're a little too big but I couldn't wait one more day to wear them.

I got my halloween costume the other night...can't wait to show you the photos!

Mimi and Me!

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

Almost 6 months old!

I was looking at the photos of Ayda that Jennie has on her myspace page just now. I can't believe that our big, squishy, round baby Ayda was so small! Her legs, which are today juicy and fat, used to be skinny!
It's hard to imagine that one day Ayda will have teeth, and then start to walk, and then start talking, and then kissing boys, and drinking beer, and talking back to her aunt Mimi! The horror!
So for now I am going to try to love love love this little pudgy muffin as much as I can before she changes too much. They say babies grow fast but until Ayda I had no idea...

Campfire

We had a campfire last night at Nana and Papa's.

This is my second cousin, Lexy. She was very interested in me. Her brother, Gage, didn't want to be in the photo. Party pooper...

Uncle John, Aunt Lu, Stephanie, Lexy, Gage and their dog Maddy all came over for pie. I really like pumpkin pie! Delish!

Pumpkin-Head

Mimi made me this pumpkin hat for the fall. I just love it! It's starting to get cold out and I needed something to cover my head and the tops of my little ears.

Papa found this clown nose. Mommy thought it would be fun to put it on my face! I kept pulling it off -- it tickled!

Last night I had daddy all to myself! Mumma and Mimi took Grandma out for pizza. It was fun hanging out with daddy. I think he's hilarious!

Apple Picking!

We went apple picking a couple of weekends ago. We have so many apples now! Mom made an apple pie, apple muffins and grandma made some applesauce I have yet to get my gums on...

These apples were really tasty!

I have on my special apple picking outfit: my new pink overalls!

Mom's New Hat

This is Mom's new hat. I think it looks pretty good on me. I'm getting the hang of using my arms and hands more and more now and I can sort of pull the hat off my head if I want to. I usually get it stuck over my face, though. Practice makes perfect!

Bunny Coat

Am I not the cutest pink bunny you ever did see? This new coat is a present from my friend Pam. She brought it up from Boston when she came to visit Mom and Dad. It's so silky and soft. I love chewing on the satin ribbon!
Nana and Papa are finally back from Ireland! I spent ALL DAY with them on Sunday. Dad and Mom were both working this weekend. I got to visit Mom at work on Saturday AND Sunday and see all of her friends. They had a big sale going on so I got to finally meet some of her rep work friends, too. Mike and Merri-Beth spent the night on Saturday. It was like a big 'ol sleepover party!
