"Say Cheeeeze..... and Pickles!"

I got a hold of Mumma's camera the other day and decided to practice my skills. I took ALOT of pictures... mostly of ceiling fans, floors, mom and dad, and myself--of course. Here are a couple that Mumma thought summed up my adventure.

My newest shoes (Nana bought them for me because they look like ruby slippers).

A baby on a box (a little creepy, huh?).

My baby sister--up close and personal.

And ME (my favorite subject)!

She WOULD say that...

When I bring Ayda to school in the morning, I try to engage her in thoughtful conversations. I do it for two reasons, really.

1) I like to get her brain warmed up for the day.
2) Because I am selfish and enjoy a good laugh.

This morning the trees were still covered with a pretty, sticky snow. I commented that they looked neat. Ayda shot back with, "Yea, just like Lady Ga Ga's hair, right?"
"Right. Of course,"
This wasn't a new comparison for Ayda... everything 'cool' is like Lady Ga Ga in some way.

The conversation made me recall some of the other funny things Ayda has said lately, like:
"Mum, don't wreck my life today by not letting me buy something!" or "The men with the firetruck make sure we follow the rules at Rec (her after school program)."

She really cracks me up--even if she is a handful, I love her to bits.

Busted

While Daddy was away, Mumma took us on a little shopping spree to reward us for being so good. We were totally caught in the act by Nana-Mumma!

She snapped this picture of Mumma and I while Ayda was playing with Vivi in the store.

Don't I look happy to be attached to Mumma like this?!

Guess what? I'm a famous model...

Check ME out! I was hired as a professional model and did a great job as a pretty ballerina for Northstar Photography. I did such a good job, in fact, that they are using my image on their marketing materials!

I told Mama to put this in my portfolio. Who knows what's next!? Hollywood...here I come!

Violet Bouncing

My sister thinks she's pretty cool, singing songs and stuff, but I'm getting big and I plan on giving her a run for her money. I'm just 4-months-old and I can already bounce! Check me out!

Sure, I MIGHT have to stand on a box to do it...but that's no big deal. I am in the 97th percentile for height, ya know!

Violet's Future Professions...

I've been thinking about what I want to be when I grow up, so Mimi helped me to see what I might look like, depending on what job I choose. And there are SO MANY jobs to choose from!

I could grow up to be a superstar like Carrie Underwood. I look good as a blond...

I could also train to be a ninja. I'm not very good at being quiet, so this one might be kind of a stretch. I am, however, very flexible.

Being an archaeologist might be fun. I'd get to hunt for buried treasure all over the world!

Being a fairy warrior, though, is at the top of my priority list. They are so beautiful and deadly—just like me!

What do you think?

Daddy

We miss Daddy.

And we're willing to bet he misses us too...

Two more weeks and counting until he's home from his deployment in Germany!

Ayda and Violet

I found these similar photos of Violet (taken last week) and Ayda (taken at 6 or 7 months) and love how much they resembled each other. Clearly Vi has MUCH more hair than Ayda did at the same age...
