This is a recent self-portrait Ayda made at her after school Rec. program. She used construction paper and markers and one of the staff girls helped her cut out the pieces. Everything is pretty correct—she wears headbands and has beautiful blue eyes. So...that red stuff coming out of her mouth? Yeah, that's blood. Because this is Ayda Zombie. And the blood has made a mess on her pretty green shirt. We're not sure if she ate off her hands or they simply fell off as she turned from human to zombie...does it really matter?

Blowing in the Wind
I don't know if you have noticed, but I have pretty long hair for a baby. Mama refuses to give me a trim, no matter what the rest of my family says. Sometimes it gets in my pretty eyes, and I just LOVE to have it blown off of my forehead! My sister thinks it's pretty funny, too...

Birthday Paaaaaaarty!
So Sunday was the party I'd been waiting all week for... my 'friends' party. It was at this most awesomest place called The Old Town Bowling Lanes. Amazing.
We got there a little early so that Mumma, Nana, Papa, Daddy (and Vi), and I could set up before my friends arrived. We got our pirate garb on (Did I mention that this was a PIRATE bowling party? Would you really expect anything less?!)
but the mustache tickled so much that I had Pup paint me a new one... along with a few oozy, bloody, nasty scars--of course. And a star for good measure.
Violet managed to keep her mustache on by sticking a pippy in front of it.
A bunch of my friends came to help my celebrate and we had pizza for dinner!
Even my cousin Lexxy came... she has pretty curly, yellow, hair that I love.
We did some serious bowling to work up our appetites. Nice form, huh?
And when that failed to wear us out, G and I had a push-up contest! I'm not sure who won... we'll call it a tie, I guess.
There were some other games to play there too... other than bowling, I mean. We really loved to play this shooting one.
After pizza, it was on to cake! Mumma made me this pirate cake. It was 'rainbow' cake and it was YUMMY!
My friends even brought me presents. I opened my friend Lily's gift first, and found these keys inside... Mumma thought the Chandlers bought me a car, but no such luck. Maybe next year!
This party was so much fun... I can't believe I have to wait a whole year for my next one. Maybe Violet will want to bowl for her birthday! I'd better start talking her into it now.
xoxo Ayda

Ayda's Family Birthday Party
Hey Guys! I turned 5 this week and guess what? I'm having 3 parties! One at school, one with my family, and one with my friends. I am SO lucky.
Mimi brought her new camera to my family birthday party on Friday night and took some photos to document my awesome party. This year I'm going for a Pirate theme...check out this awesome cake Mumma made!
I love blowing out candles...
I was so excited to open my presents! I especially liked the one Mimi and Shane got me. I had said I wanted the movie Rattatouie, and was so happy they got me a copy!
My favorite gift of all, though, was the promise that Mumma and Daddy were going to get me my very own kittens! I went to pick them out yesterday and I get to take them home on Wednesday! I can't wait to tell you all about them. Mumma found me this little doll that looks just like me holding a kitten and gave it to me as a present. I had the BEST birthday ever!
