On Saturday we all went to the Common Ground Fair! It's where hippies hang out and learn about farming and stuff. Check out the weird fish I got painted on my face. I wore my overalls to fit in. Mama and Daddy also brought my wagon for me to ride in, which was a WICKED good idea.
Look at me! I'm standing on a big pile of hay gettin' ready to jump! I was so excited. Daddy and I waited our turn in line an Daddy held my hand while I jumped, just in case. It was awesome!
I wasn't even scared of the goats and sheep! Can you believe it!? I saw one silly ol' sheep get his hoofs cut. He freaked out and fell off his stand! I couldn't get over it. I also saw a baby cow and a baby goat and lots of bunnies and chickens. So much fun!

Best Friend
By Aunt Mimi
A couple of weeks ago at dinner Ayda leaned over to me to give me a big hug. She said "Mimi, you're my best friend!" I almost cried because it was so cute.
Not a moment later did she turn her head and gaze longingly at the basket of bread to her right and declared that the bread was her best friend, too.
I felt a little less special after that...

Sleepover
By Aunt Mimi
This past Sunday night I had the distinct pleasure of sleeping over Ayda's house. Jenn and John were at a show in N.H. The last time I tried to sleepover with Ayda she wanted to stay at Nana and Papa's house. This time was different.
We took a bath at Nana's house and Ayda put on her new pj's that Nana made. Oops! They were TOO SMALL! Who knew our little peanut had grown so much. We had to change out of them when we got home because Ayda was pulling at the neck. Uncomfy! We read a few books and Ayda went to bed ever so sweetly.
I decided to let her sleep as long as she wanted to. When she is woken up in the morning she tends to be a little monster. At 7:30 am she stirred and I went in to get her. The first things out of her mouth: "Mama's not here. She's workin'." To which I said, "Yeah, but Mimi's here!" and I got a big hug and an "I love you Mimi!"
Aww.

Orono Festival Day
Last Saturday Mama, Mimi, Nana and I all went to the Orono Festival Day right in the middle of town!
Nana and I found these pretty whirly-gig things. I dunno what you do with them, but the lady let me touch them, so I instantly loved them. I think you're supposed to blow on 'em, or something. I wish Papa had been there to lend me a little of the wind... he's so full of hot air.
I wasn't really into walking that day. Everything was making me nervous. I think I really embarrassed Mama when I screamed at an old lady walking towards us. She wasn't very fast, but she sure looked dangerous!
The Festival also included the grand opening of our new Public Library. It was soooo neat! The children's area has a puppet stage and toys and this painting! I wonder if I can climb that beanstock? Next time.
We even stuck around long enough for Mimi to read me a book...
... and to eat a cookie. There's ALWAYS time for a cookie! Right Nana?!
It was a pretty fun girls day. I wonder how we're gonna top it NEXT weekend!?

Family Day 2009
It's that time of year again everyone! Family day at Daddy's work! I dressed up extra cute with french braids with ribbons. I was even practicing my French by saying "Bojour" to everyone I knew.
We had hot dogs, hamburgers, and cake for lunch. I got to jump in the bounce house, drive a fire truck, and pilot a plane. Not bad for a 2-year-old!

'Blueberries for Sal...er, Ayda'
Don't you just loooove blueberries?! I do. Especially when Mama makes me cake-cakes on Saturday mornings. Mmmmmm- just thinking about it makes me hungry!
This summer I got to help Mama and Nana pick those delicious little guys. I think maybe they taste better when you've gotta work for 'em.
I picked a whole bunch when we went to Bar Harbor Campground in July.... I also ATE a whole bunch! I think it evens itself out in the end, right?

Scarecrow
Nana and Papa have a new friend at their house...a scarecrow! Isn't he the cutest?
He just stands in their garden all day long. I don't know why he's called a scarecrow -- he's not at all scary...see? I can poke him in his face and he doesn't even care!
There is something sketchy about this scarecrow, though. He moves! Actually, he hides. Everyday this silly ol' scarecrow hops out of the garden and wanders around the yard. Nana and Papa are continuously losing him so they need me to help them locate their runaway. One time he was in Nana's garden. Another time he was hiding in some bushes. He doesn't hide that well 'cause I always find him. Good thing Nana and Papa have me around!
Check me out 'coppin attitude for the camera. I wanna be America's Next Top Baby Model...

"Let's Paint!"
I just loooove to 'paint'! And you know what the best part is? I don't even need paint or brushes to do it! Mama just fills my bowls out on the deck...
... and I spread it around on the wood with this little cup! I can make all sorts of patterns, or just one big mess. The sky's the limit... or I guess really, the deck boards are.
Either way, it's my new favorite thing to do!
