Searching for Princess Aurora

I have been WAY into watching Sleeping Beauty lately. I just love Princess Aurora! Her beautiful blond hair and her pink dress are to DIE for! And those three fairies are so sweet!

On Monday, Nana, Papa, Uncle Jeff and I went to Princess Aurora's castle in Bucksport! She lives in a place called Fort Knox -- just a half hour drive away! We walked all around that old fort looking for Princess Aurora but she wasn't home. And believe me...I looked! Around every corner, down every damp hallway, and in every room I called out "Princess Aurora! Are you here?" She wasn't. Maybe next time.

It was such a nice day out that we took a picnic. Here is a picture of me pretending to be Princess Aurora waiting for Prince Phillip to come wake me with a kiss....

Here is a picture of Nana pretending to be Sleeping Beauty. I'm going to wake her up!

The flowers were so pretty and yellow!

There are lots of nooks and crannys at Princess Aurora's house...and I didn't see one bed or couch to lay out on. We must have been walking around the dungeon...

We also went on top of this really tall bridge to see the view. It was up REALLY high but I wasn't scared.

Here are some more pictures of our fun day!

Ohhh, baby!

Last night the whole family went to my parents house for dinner.
I was re-counting for everyone Ayda's rough day- she had reached the pinnacle of crabbiness during nap time and had thrown quite a tantrum.

I stopped to take a breath during my story and Ayda turned to look at my sister, Mimi, and said, with a little shake of her head,
"I'm just a baby"

As in, I can't help myself Mama- I'm only 2.

'Just' a baby, indeed.

Pixie Ball Extravaganza!

Last weekend I went to the most amazing event!
It was called The Pixie Ball. Mama and Nana took me and we had so much fun! There was cake and punch, dancing and socializing, and even bracelet and flower crown making!

My friend Lily was there too. She looked just like Tinkerbell!
Here we are together.

I never knew there were soo many pixies living right here in Orono. The King and Queen of the Pixies even made an appearance!

During the party we had a Pixie Promenade where all the little Pixies would, one by one, curtsy to the Pixie King after having their names read off and their magical powers noted.
My magical power- in case you didn't already know- is peeing on the potty.
At first I was a little nervous about going up and seeing the king- he is royalty, after all! But once I saw Lily do such a good job (her curtsy really is divine)

I just couldn't resist taking center stage. I even let go of Mama's hand and although I couldn't quite muster a curtsy, I gave that 'ol king a high-five!

I really loved the dancing... although sometimes my wings kinda got in the way.

Nana made my special Tutu- I really think the pretty ribbons set the whole thing off.

Here are a few more pictures of the grand event...

I can't wait till next year!!

Beep, beep, Jeep, jeep!

This was my big birthday surprise from Mama and Daddy. It's a fun pink Jeep! Now Daddy and I both have our own Jeeps... I guess Mama will have to wait for her birthday to get her own.

Daddy had to help me on my maiden voyage to Nana and Papa's house, but I'm much better at it now.

Beep, Beep! Get out the way!

I told Mama the other day "Mama, I'm not a baby! I'm TWO!"

Ayda's Birthday!

Guess what guys? I'm 2-years-old now! Mama and Daddy threw me a wicked fun party on Saturday with some of my friends.

I was so excited to see Twila and Tammy at my party. Reilly came too! It was so fun to have my favorite daycare girls at MY house for a change!

Mama's friend Jill brought over two of my favorite friends! Lily and Baby Wyatt! I took the opportunity to give Wyatt a complete check-up with my doctor kit. With this swine flu thing going around you can't be too careful with babies ya know...

Lily came in a pretty party dress. We have so much fun together! The cake Mama made was so good I had more than one piece! Mmmmmmm cake!

Lily brought me bubbles. What a fun present! We blew bubbles allllll afternoon. Grandpa helped me out. He's really good at blowing bubbles.

Here are some more photos from my party. Uncle Jasper brought is goat Paxton. I was a little afraid of him but no one else was. He was the life of the party -- next to me of course.

Thanks to everyone who brought me presents and made donations to Camp CaPella! Can't wait to see you for my THIRD birthday!
