"Pinocky!"
Last night, after a very entertaining dinner out with Nana, Papa, Mimi, we (John, Ayda, and I) came home to settle in for the night. Ayda had had a late nap, so naturally, she wasn't very tired at her normal bed time. We decided to snuggle up on the couch and watch a little T.V. before bed. As I was surfing through the channels for something 'toddler appropriate' but not mind numbing for John and I, I came upon Disney's Pinocchio. It was already 1/2 hour into the movie, but Ayda didn't care. She LOVED the movie! Every time there was a commercial she would say, "Mama, where's Pinocky?" or "Mama, I want Pickono!"
She watched the WHOLE movie and didn't go to bed until 10 o'clock! It was late, but I just couldn't bare to pull her away from a Disney classic.
She's still asking me for Pinocky this morning...

The Highland Games
Yesterday Nana, Papa, Mama, and I all went to the Highland Games in Brunswick and boy was it HOT! Maybe that's why Papa was grumpy about our late start?
(Eventhough he looks pretty cheerful here... don't let him fool you. Papa wilts like a delicate flower in the heat)
We had lots of fun.
We watched the pretty girls dance to bag pipe music-
We watched the big ladies throw cabers and the dogs herd the sheep-
But best of all, Papa and I played in the sprinkler, TWICE! It felt sooo good to get all soaking wet.
Maybe next year we can all wear kilts!

Peaks Kenny State Park
On Saturday Mama, Mimi, and I drove to Dover-Foxcroft to Peaks Kenny State Park. It was a beautiful day! I got to play on the beach and build sand castles...
Building stuff is serious business.
I love the way the wind whipped my ponies around!
There was a cute duck family walkin' all around. I pointed them out to Mama, just in case she didn't see 'em.
Peaks Kenny beach also had a great playground. I must have gone down the big slide a thousand times! I hope I get to go back and do some campin' there sometime.

Another Cute Conversation....
Ayda, Jenn, and I had a picnic lunch today in Pickering Square. We decided to go to Dunkin' Donuts and pick up a coffee for John and deliver it to him at work. Here's the conversation in the car on the way....I don't know how it all got started but it was hilarious where it ended.
JENN: Ayda -- you have a big mouth!
AYDA: I don't have a big mouth! I have a tiny mouth!
MIMI: Ayda, do I have a big mouth? (Mimi proceeds to open her mouth as wide as it will go)
AYDA: Oh God, it's BIG!
JENN and MIMI: (hysterical laughter)
Out of the mouths of babes.....
