Weekend at Mimi's

This past weekend Mama and Daddy were both working, so Nana and Papa took me down to Portland to stay with Aunt Mimi. We had lots of fun...


Mimi has a neat hammock-swing on her porch.


Nana bought me these new shoes! Aren't they the cutest? Unfortunately I can kick them off pretty easily. Papa picks them up and puts them in his pocket so I don't lose them. They go with almost all of my outfits.


Papa got new shoes too! But he got two right feet! We all thought that that was pretty funny. We had to stop in Freeport on the way home to find the left one...


Papa and I read some books on the futon. I slept in my play-pen in Mimi's room. I'm a good sleeper -- 12 hours a night and I only woke up once and that was because I got caught up in my blankey. Good thing Mimi was close to rescue me.


All the fun really wore me out! I can't wait to go back...

Me and Daddy

Daddy, Mama, Mimi and their friends Kristen and Merri-Beth rode their bikes 180 miles in the Trek Across Maine last weekend. Nana, Papa and I went down to the finish line in Belfast to meet them for lunch.

B-A-B-Y-!

Last night I (mimi) met Nana, Papa and Ayda in Waterville to pick up my dog Miles. They were watching him while I was away for a couple of weekends. We went to Big G's for dinner and then to Marden's.
I was pushing Ayda in the cart past a rack of stuffed animals and dolls. Ayda points to a baby doll and says, plain as day "BABY!" It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. And she kept doing it! It was amazing to see her recognition turn into a word I could understand.
What a smart little girl!

Vrooom, vrooom!

We have a lot of fun stuff to 'drive' around our house. This is me and Papa on Mama's bike. We didn't actually go anywhere, but Papa let me ride on the tank while scooting along with his feet.



Papa also taught me how to make motorcycle sounds! He would say, 'Vroooom!' and then I'd do the same. We sounded like a pack of big, burly, bikers! Well, maybe not, but we sure had fun pretending!



Don't I look cool? Maybe someday Daddy will get a sidecar and we can go on family trips! Wheeeeee!

Crazy Pigtails!

Nana and Papa picked me up from daycare and this is what my hair looked like! The three of us took a drive to Waterville to have dinner with Aunt Mimi and pick up her doggie, Miles. Mimi is going on vacation and Nana and Papa are doggie sitting.


I think pigtails agree with me...


Check out my new trick! Sipping from a straw! I AM a big girl!



This lemon was in Papa's water and I had to give it a try. It was awful!

Big Girls

Mama says that 'big girls' do lots of certain things.
Sometimes I think she's just trying to get me to do something I don't want to- like wear my sunglasses or sit still in my car seat while she buckles me in. But last night I decided to show everyone that I really AM a BIG GIRL!
