NEWS FLASH

It's 8:48 pm on Wednesday night and I just got home. I have just been informed that AYDA HAS TAKEN HER FIRST STEPS -- on her hands and knees of course. Nana and Papa had to go next door and witness it for themselves and it has been reported that Ayda crawled to Papa -- whimpering the whole way.

I Love My Doggies

Marley and Roxy are the best dogs ever! They are so gentle with me and I am learning to be gentle with them.


They always want their bellies rubbed! I tried to do it but my hands are so small I don't think I did them justice.


Marley is much more relaxed and patient than Roxy -- who always sniffs me out and wants everyone's attention. I can't wait until I can go outside and play with them.

The Blob

This is so embarrassing! We did silhouettes at daycare a little while ago and this is me! Where is my neck? I feel like I look like a Simpsons character. Daddy had a good laugh.

The Easter Bunny told Mama and Daddy that I was too little this year to find hidden eggs. I really liked this purple one, though!

A Birthday Visit

I just found out that Grammy and Grampy Sonnenberg are coming to visit for a week for my birthday! I can't wait! I have changed so much since the last time they saw me. I can show them my teeth and how I eat cheerios and all that good stuff. Maybe by then I'll be crawling. I bet they'd like to see that!

Sooooooo Big

This is me in the computer room at Nana and Papa's house. They also call it the jungle room because of how it's decorated. I don't really get it.


I can't quite pull myself up yet, but I do like to stand. Mama and Daddy have had to remember to put the gate up on my crib when I go to sleep now-a-days. I like to stand up in it and they don't want me to fall out. I take a nap sometimes in this play pen thing but I don't really like it. I'd rather be out where all the action is. Sometimes Papa's cat, Murray, sleeps in the play pen. Papa always shoos him out but I think it's nice. He's a pretty cat and so soft. He lets me pat him sometimes -- but I digress....

RASH update...

It's finally going away. It was on my face but yesterday it was gone! Magic! It's still on my legs a little bit but my belly looks MUCH better.

Mama is, like, my bestest friend. She's not as funny as Daddy, but she gives really good kisses!

New Coat

I finally fit into the pretty green "Ireland" coat that Aunt Lisa bought me. I have been wearing it a lot lately. I'm really digging the wooden buttons on it and pulled one off by mistake. Mama will have to sew it back on for me since I'm not allowed to play with needles.


Daddy thinks it's a matter of days before I start crawling all over the place. I was crawling backwards a little bit yesterday but haven't gotten the forward motion yet. It's very frustrating and when I pitched a fit everyone just stared at me and smiled. Growing up is so hard!

Rash...

Ayda has a rash. This is sort of what it looks like. Thankfully it doesn't bother her -- but it grosses the rest of us out. The doctor says it looks like a strep virus but it isn't going away and Jenn and John are waiting to take her to a dermatologist.

It's a SNAP!

Incase you didn't already know, I'm a smart baby. Nana, Papa and Mimi came over for dinner the other night and Mimi and Nana started dancing in their chairs, waving their hands in the air. I did it too! Then Papa started snapping his fingers. That looked really fun so I tried to do it. Mimi said I looked like I was trying to play the castinettes like a Spanish lady. I couldn't get the hang of it but everyone thought it was pretty funny that I was trying so hard. Now if I could just get the hang of this crawling thing instead of relying on my rolling ability to move from place to place...

10-Months of Changes!

7:00 pm = FUN!

The past few times I have been over to Jenn and John's for Ayda's bathtime has been a hilarious affair. Ayda thinks getting naked and jumping around on the bathroom sink in front of the mirror is exceedingly fun. She starts laughing even before her clothes come off! Last night she started laughing as we were climbing the stairs!

I'm not sure what she thinks is so funny about it, but I thoroughly enjoy watching her giggle her head off. Last night I was passing the naked one to Jenn and she farted right in my face! (Ayda -- not Jenno). Boy did she think that was funny. I'm just glad it was dry...
