Yarmouth Clam Festival

This past weekend we went down to Portland and spent the night at Aunt Mimi's place! I was super excited to see her and show off my toddling skills. On Saturday we all went to the Clam Festival in Yarmouth. It was HOT and HUMID out and I was soooo sticky! I was a very good girl under the circumstances. I wore the cutest blue outfit with my new blue shoes that Mama and Nana got me at Marden's. The left one kept falling off for some reason. Annoying!

We browsed lots of arts and crafts, ate some yummy food, and listened to music. I especially liked listening to the bongo drums! I was bopping all over the place and clapping my hands. I've got rhythm!

Mimi picked me up from daycare on Monday and took me swimming in my kiddie pool! She even blew bubbles for me which I just love. It's hard cause I want to hold them so badly but when I touch them they pop! Before dinner Papa and I sat down to watch Kipper -- just like we always do. I love that show -- that little British dog is just the cutest.

I got in trouble with Mimi on Sunday night. She was holding me and I reached out with both of my hands and just SQUEEZED her cheeks. I couldn't help it! But my nails seemed to really hurt her and she put me on the floor and ignored me. I DID NOT like that! I just can't stand it when someone is sitting at the computer and they wont let me push the buttons....

Anyway -- I am going to practice my walking every day so that when we go to Eric and Allison's wedding in Colorado in a few weeks I can show off. I can't wait to dance with Daddy and Papa!

Attack of the killer chickens!!

Doesn't King look evil?! He's the biggest of our chickens....

... and the first one scheduled to be eaten! Just one more week, mama says.

Most people that meet our chickens are pretty scared of them, cause they like to charge at you and recently have taken up pecking at bare toes. OUCH!
When mama and daddy feed them, they have to put their food down REAL fast, so that they don't get attacked by hungry birds!

But I'm not afraid of any silly ol' chicken! I poke em right in the head! See?!

Like a fish!

Mommy and Daddy bought me my very own pool!

It's SO refreshing with all this hot sticky weather :)

Biker Babe

Check out my new wheels!

Daddy's already freaking out that the wheels scuff up the floors... whatever! I'm having too much fun to care!

As you can see, I have a nifty basket on the front that I like to put things in. I'm such a big girl!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We sure had a busy day on Friday. We got up really early so that we could head down to Bar Harbor with Nana and Papa to catch the parade! Poor Nana was so tired, she slept the whole way down.
Once we got there we parked in the 'secret' parking area and took off to find a good spot to watch the parade.
I got the best seat in the house...

I really liked the parade floats and music. People were throwing candy at me... but Mama and Daddy wouldn't let me have any! What a tease! Life just isn't fair.

After the parade we walked down to the ball field for the Seafood Festival. They were serving up lobsters and mussels with corn and chips! Nana stood in line FOREVER to get her lobster! The rest of us had hot dogs and french fries while we waited for her... yum. When she finally made it back to the table, she shared her corn with me! It's my new favorite thing about summer- I just can't get enough!

We also got a chance to check out the rocky beach. Daddy helped me walk along the tricky rocks. I'll be doing it all by myself before you know it!

Mama and I drew some pretty pictures with stones while Nana hunted for some crabs. She found some, but I wasn't about to touch those little buggers! Doesn't she know they pinch!?

We headed home before fireworks because we were all TOO TIRED to hang around Bar Harbor any longer! Everyone wanted to go out to dinner... except for me! We stopped on the way home, but guess what? If I didn't want to be there, NOBODY was gonna enjoy their meal! So we took our meal to go :) Once again, this baby prevails!

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner..."

This is Baby. I know she has a face only a mother could love, but I just think she's the 'cats pajamas'.

Nana and Papa got her for me. She doesn't have a name, other than Baby, because that's all that I want to call her.
'Baaay-Beeee'!
Everyone thinks it's just fantastic when I say this.

She's just the right size for holding (sometimes by the head). She often needs me to pat her on the back, or feed her crackers. She also really loves to have her feet tickled and...
... be kissed! That's what I'm doing here on the steps.

Mama even puts her in my crib with me when I go to sleep. Baby is great at spooning. I don't know how I could possibly love her any more than I already do!

xoxo Ayda Sue and Baby too!
