The Mall!

On Friday Mama and Daddy went skiing. Nana, Papa, Mimi and I went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner at the mall. It was really yummy and I sat in a booster seat.

Outside of Ruby Tuesday's is a bunch of really fun kiddie rides! Papa gave me 50 cents to take a rocketship to the moon! Woosh!

Nana showed up with this really cool red car stroller. I steered myself all over the mall. It was so much fun. We went to the pet shop and saw puppies, a turtle, fishies, and a bunny! Then I got to spend the night at Nana & Papa's house. What a treat!

Here Kitty Kitty!

One of my jobs is feeding Papa's cat, Murray. He's only allowed a little bit of food at a time or else he pukes. I make sure he only gets one or two pieces at a time. No one likes to clean up cat puke.

'Ponies!'

For the past couple weeks, Ayda has been obsessed with 'ponies'. Ponies, for those of you who do not speak toddler, can mean one of two things. Most commonly it refers to some sort of hair-do that involves pig-tails or a pony-tail. But it can also refer to hair elastics, bobby pins, or barrettes... it's any one's guess which one she's talking about at any given moment.
Lately I've been tempting her to get going in the morning by asking her if she wants 'ponies', and would she like one, or two? We think about this while we get dressed. To be honest, I'm not sure how much longer she'll play along with this little game, but it's working for now so I go with it.
This morning was especially trying and the promise of ponies lead us to the bathroom.
'One pony!' she said to me.
One swipe of the comb and Ayda was over it... and so was Mommy. To squelch the impending fit I let her wear a hat my friend Suzi gave to me recently, and if nothing else, it made for a cute picture or two.

** thanks for saving the day Suzi!

Playhouse!

Look what Papa made me! A cardboard play house! Nana made the curtains. I think they add a certain je ne sais quoi. I even have shutters!

I like to measure my little door. I'm all about precision.

And the cute little mouse on the front of my door is Maisy. I watch her videos ALL THE TIME at Nana and Papa's house. She's just the cutest! Papa gave me a flashlight to keep in my house, too, so I can have some light. I need to find some pictures to put up on my walls. Maybe I'll paint something with the new washable markers Nana got me this weekend! Oh the possibilities!

Animal Kindom

Mama and I have been working on our animal sounds. I have a pretty good list going. I know what pigs, doggies, kitties, lions, elephants, bear, and birdies all say! Oh, and I know what a pickle says too, but that's a whole other post... my Mama is the crazy one that taught me that.
There is one other animal sounds I know, and it seems to be EVERYONES favorite, because they ask me to do it alllll the time! Geez, can't a girl just make human sounds instead?!

Doughnuts are Divine!

Last weekend Papa made doughnuts! He's going to be featured in an article in Bangor Metro Magazine! Mama is writing the story so she was taking notes, and Mimi was taking photos and just basically getting in the way. I was napping the whole time (that's why my hair looks all messed up) but look at what I woke up to!

Sometimes I call these doughnuts "cake" and sometimes I call them "cookies" but whatever they are they are delicious! I couldn't get enough and Nana had to hide them from me.

Papa says that next time he's going to make chocolate ones. Oh my goodness I can't wait!

What's better than a goat leg?

Nana's horse hair clogs of course! I like to pat them when I'm over to Nana & Papa's -- especially when I am watching my Maisy or Kipper videos. They are so soothing! And now that I know she has them I don't have to lug my goat leg over from my house. Sweet! I even let them sit under my blanket with me. I especially like the dalmatian design. Too bad there isn't a hoof attached -- just Nana's smelly old tonies.

Mimi makes me a fashionista!

My Aunt Mimi got me the cutest outfits for Christmas this year. Check out my mod black and white suit below. Everyone thinks the pattern on the pants makes my legs look long.

Oh and these Julius the Monkey pajamas from Paul Frank are to DIE for! I even know that they are monkeys because I'm a smart girl.

This picture was taken on Pajama Sunday at Nana & Papa's. These pajamas are so cute I want to wear them all day, every day! And I KNOW my fingers are in my mouth for both photos, but I've been very crabby whenever someone tells me to "take my fingers out." I do it for a minute to appease my family but I'm just more comfy having them in, thank you very much!

Tent!

Nana & Papa's neighbors, the Shockeys, gave me this awesome blue tent as a hand-me-down from their kids who are too big for it. The tent stays in Nana & Papa's living room and comes out practically every time I go over. My favorite thing to do is hide in it and make people come find me.

The tent comes with some nifty things....like a log campfire, a hatchet, a canteen, a cup, a frying pan, and a hot dog in a bun. Cute!

I am very good at pretending to camp. I can't wait to try it out for real this summer!
Oh, and by the way, this is my 200th post. I am such a busy little girl!

Sleepover Week at Nana and Papa's!

Mama was away in Massachusetts this week for work and since Dada goes to work before the sun is even up I spent the nights at Nana and Papa's house. I LOOOOVVVVEEE Nana and Papa's house! One thing I love about Nana and Papa's is their bed. It is so comfy. Nana lets me bring books into her bed after my bath and we read them together. See?

Nana also lets me have ice cream at her house. Ice cream is my absolute favorite treat of all time. I was trying to get into my chair before Nana was done scooping it out for me.

I slept in my play pen and everyone took turns taking me to daycare in the morning. Even Mimi! When Mama called one night I actually talked to her on the phone like a big girl. She asked me questions and I answered her. I even told her I loved her. I think she really liked that.
