Hot and Sticky

It has been so hot and humid out this week and that makes for a cranky baby!
The only good thing about this hot weather is that I can wear some of my cute baby clothes -- yay!




This pretty pink number is courtesy of Sue -- the principal of Asa Adams school where Nana works. I'll be going there in about 5 years!

A Visit to the Nursing Home

Aunt Mimi took me to the nursing home last night to see how Grandma was doing with her bum leg. All the old women thought I was adorable. Aunt Mimi was trying to show me off -- just to be polite. But there was this one woman who was MOANING with all her might! She scared the beejezus out of me and boy did I let her know! I got scared that Mimi was going to leave me with all those scary old women that I started screaming -- WAY louder than the moaning lady. I only calmed down after some hugs from Mimi and some time staring at a rapidly moving ceiling fan. What a night!

Where is everybody?

I'm alone with Daddy for two whole days!
Mum is on a business trip and Nana and Papa are away for a week in Monhegan Island. Mimi just got back from a long weekend in Boston and Grandma is still in rehab. Everyone is on vacation but me! No fair!

Blowing bubbles is my new favorite thing. Mimi thinks it looks like Daddy fed me a bar of soap!

Eyelashes...

What a weekend!

Both Mum and Dad were working so I hung out with Nana, Papa and Mimi. I minded my manners and was a good baby.
This photo really shows off my extra-long eyelashes -- don't you think? Mimi wants to put mascara on me but no one will let her...thank God!
My first few days of day-care were pretty fun. I'm the only baby and the other kids (there are only 3 of them) had lots of questions about me. They read me books and talked to me a lot! Sarah was a super babysitter. I think I'm going to really like it there...

Back to Work

Mum went back to work on Saturday. It was weird not seeing her all day. Daddy and Papa spent the whole weekend outside chipping wood. So that left Mimi and Nana to take care of me. Yesterday I watched Nana bake a pie, got a bath, went to visit Grandma in the hospital, and met Mum at the mall. What a busy day!
At my doctor's appointment last week I found out that I weigh 11.5 pounds. I've been having a hard time to keep my socks on so Nana had to buy me bigger ones. I have some cute summer clothes that I almost fit into now, finally! And I've been wearing cloth diapers.
I head to daycare this week. I'm a little nervous about it but Mum and Sarah have been friends for a really long time so I'm trying to keep an open mind. Any words of advice?
